Claire believe’s that anyone can paint. Painting in community allows us to not only know our own hearts but to understand the hearts of our neighbors.
Meet Claire
Claire has been painting for over thirty years. She trained under artist Dean Larson, who is a Professor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and who exhibits regularly at the Triton Museum of Art, San Francisco.
Claire holds a Masters of Teaching (Elementary) from the University of Western Sydney and has taught art classes in Sydney, London and Los Angeles. She is passionate about community, belonging, and self-expression as a way to better know ourselves and our neighbors.
Claire is a volunteer for Food on Foot and also teaches regular interview skills classes to help support local Los Angeles community members to secure jobs so they can get and keep their housing.
Claire holds a Basic Life Support Provider certificate from the American Heart Association.
Meet Claire’s Assistants
Sir Laurence Olivier (top) and Humphrey Bogart (bottom), both ragdoll kitties, receive lots of love from their West Hollywood neighbors and give lots of cuddles in return. Everybody in their apartment building knows their names and stops to say hello. They bring joy to everyone they meet. They also give Claire lots of laughs, falling asleep in unlikely poses and places.
Memory Care Paint Sessions
When words become difficult, color speaks.
When memory fades, creativity remains.
When anxiety rises, painting calms.
Our memory care sessions create safe spaces for residents to express themselves, connect with others, and experience the profound satisfaction of creating something beautiful. Adapted for all ability levels, our approach honors each person's unique journey while celebrating what they can still do.
Because everyone deserves moments of joy, pride, and creative expression - no matter where they are on their path.

Bringing Joy to Your Environment
We love art that emits emotion, and we design pieces that evoke joy, peace, tranquility, laughter, reflection, and a sense of calm, which you can hang on your wall.
Why Paint?
Because you deserve 90 minutes where nobody needs anything from you.
Because your hands were made to create, not just type and scroll.
Because painting quiets anxiety and wakes up joy.
Because you're more than your to-do list.
Because creating something beautiful—even imperfectly—reminds you that you are beautiful too.
